CHRYSTINE TRICHTER (ZWEIBEL)

After living in NY for 26 yrs, I moved with great excitement to Charleston S.C. in 2014 where every morning is a brand new adventure. There is a wealth of history, stunning architecture, cultural events, jazz, beautiful gardens, bubbling fountains, restaurants to rival NYC, gorgeous weather, great biking town, river views, beaches, and did I mention 'civility'?? I can walk or bike everywhere. I LOVE IT HERE.

Lived in Lake Worth, Loxahatchee, Boca Raton-then escaped to Ridgefield, CT ( Spent 6 yrs there working for British Magazine and an ad agency in Fairfield, CT. Returned to Boca for 3 yrs working as Project Coordinator for 2 real estate developers in Boca Pointe. Met husband Joel who was on vacation-8/86. Moved to NYC and married 6 months later on his birthday. NY became my new home but now my new home is Charleston. Mom passed away late 2018 Her sweetheart of 69 yrs and my Dad (Bernie) died 2012.

Art, drawing, Italian, needlepoint (my first pillow recently completed after 17 yrs! It went all over Europe with me in yrs past working on it in bits and pieces)

Not a hobby but impacting our lives: I started a pre-law honors scholarship in Joel's name as a surprise for his 70th birthday at his undergraduate college (Baruch-before he went to Yale Law School) and to date, we have 16 winners- 3 of whom are now like our adopted kids. (see photo below: from Turkey, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) ... even have 5 mentee grandbabies now.

Study Italian in Italy (and revisit my Italian relatives again in Puglia (near Bari) It didn't matter that no one spoke much English. Their warmth, love and hospitality will never be forgotten. (not to mention the meals that went on for hours-prepared in the tiny and immaculate kitchen)
